The metaverse has now become something that many people are starting to love. The development of technology is quite rapid, able to appear metaverse which can help everything to be more concise. From that development, UMM Informatics Study Program has also developed the technology to prepare “UMM Goes to Metaverse” as stated by Hardianto Wibowo as Secretary II of UMM Informatics Study Program and PIC of Metaverse School.
In addition, another expression conveyed by Hardianto Wibowo or who is often called Hardi, “Our hope in the future for UMM, to be known as the Metaverse Campus”. As a first step towards achieving this goal, UMM Informatics Study Program began to collaborate with other faculties at UMM to participate in developing Metaverse, especially in the learning system. Thursday morning (13/10) UMM Informatics Study Program held a visit as well as an exhibition at the Faculty of Law UMM to introduce and invite collaboration for the development of metaverse in the learning system, especially in the practicum system of the Faculty of Law UMM.
This metaverse socialization activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Tongat, M.Hum., and a number of FH-UMM lecturers. With the opportunity to demonstrate Metaverse technology, the Informatics Study Program explained the possibilities and benefits of using metaverse in the field of law. In addition to facilitating the teaching and learning process, Metaverse also presents a sophistication that makes it possible to build a virtual laboratory for simulating judicial activities in Metaverse.
In this activity, UMM Informatics Study Program began to introduce how Metaverse is. Then give the Dean and lecturers of the Faculty of Law the opportunity to try this Metaverse. “If you try it earlier, I think it is very possible that the roles in the trial process, for example mediation, dispute resolution, and so on, can be done using this technology.” Said Dean of FH UMM Dr. Tongat, M.Hum.
